FAQs
How is this different?
Most tests only read your DNA. We also read your epigenetics, using a clock validated on 8,436 women at King's College London.
Does it hurt?
No. It's a saliva sample, with no needles.
Is it suitable during pregnancy?
Yes. Speak to your midwife or GP about any medical concerns.
Who owns my data?
You do. It's never sold.
For wellness insights only. Not a medical device. Biological age results are estimates.
The complete diagnostic
Start here. Go further when you're ready.
Your DNA shows what you were born with. Your epigenetics show how you're ageing now. Blood and gut testing fill in the rest. Take the first step on its own, or book the complete diagnostic.
-
Step 1: DNA and epigenetic test
One saliva sample at home. It reads the genes you were born with and how they're being expressed today, using a clock built for your sex.
At home, no needles -
Step 2: Blood test
A detailed blood panel showing what's happening in your body right now.
-
Step 3: Stool test
An analysis of your gut microbiome, the bacteria that shape digestion, immunity and much more.
-
Step 4: Specialist consultation
One of our specialist doctors takes you through every result, online or in person.
Optional
Bought the test on its own? You can add your blood test, stool test and consultation at any point. We'll guide you through each step.
Questions
Before you start.
What is the difference between DNA and epigenetics?
Your DNA is your genetic blueprint. It contains the code you inherit and remains largely the same throughout your life.
Epigenetics looks at how your genes are being switched on and off in response to factors such as lifestyle, environment and ageing. Unlike your DNA, your epigenetic markers can change over time.
Your epigenetic test also gives you your biological age, which reflects how quickly your body is ageing compared with your chronological age.
Once you receive your results, Harley Street Longevity Club can create a personalised longevity plan based on your biology. This can include lifestyle, nutrition, supplementation, exercise, sleep and even relationships and social connection. By making targeted changes to these areas, you can support healthier ageing and potentially improve your biological age over time.
What's the difference between the test and the complete diagnostic?
The test is step one on its own: your DNA and epigenetics from a single saliva sample. The complete diagnostic adds a blood test and a stool test, so you see your genes, how they're expressing, what's in your blood and what's happening in your gut. You can add a specialist consultation to either.
Do I need to give blood for the DNA test?
No. The DNA and epigenetic test uses a saliva sample you take at home. You post it back free of charge.
How long do results take?
DNA and epigenetic results arrive in your app in 4 to 6 weeks. We'll confirm timings for your blood and stool tests when you book.
Why are there separate tests for women and men?
If you've taken a DNA or epigenetic test before, your results will have been interpreted using data that includes both male and female samples, essentially comparing you against a mixed dataset. This means your results may not have been as accurate or personalised to your sex as they could be.
At Harley Longevity Club, we've partnered with Deph Labs, an advanced DNA and epigenetic testing platform, to offer a more personalised approach. Female clients have their results interpreted against female-specific datasets, while male clients are assessed against male-specific datasets.
The result is a more relevant picture of your biological age and health, based on data that reflects your sex rather than a one-size-fits-all average.
Can I book a consultation later?
Yes. You can add a consultation with one of our specialist doctors at any stage after your testing. Whether you'd prefer to speak with a doctor online or in person at 2 Harley Street, we can arrange a consultation to help you understand your results and discuss the next steps for your health and longevity.
To book, simply email info@harleylongevity.com and let us know whether you'd prefer an online or in-person consultation.
Who can see my results?
Your data belongs to you. It's stored securely and never sold.
